Umpiring, Monkeys and racism!!! Sigh!

About poor umpiring standards in current cricketing world, almost an year back, I wrote this: http://chendufali.blogspot.com/2007/02/technology-umpires.html and I am still of the same opinion. Its a nice feeling to stand vindicated - however, the ICC still does not see the light!

About racism, I think Bhajji deserves the stick if he has actually racially abused Symmo. However, so do the Arrogant (and unfair) Aussies for the way they have played the game for last couple of years. If Rashid Latif got suspended by ICC when he was captaining Pakistan and appealed for a catch he had not taken cleanly, why does Ponting always get away? When will the double standards of ICC stop?

Anil Kumble epitomised the cricket world's view when he said that only one team played in the right spirit of the game!

Can we have some cricket on the ground please?
Sigh!

Mate...where have you been? I am not proud to say this - I knew what was coming when a) The creeps did not respond to Bhajji while they were in India b)They planned to Bucknor us in not one but two tests c) Mr.Integrity made the 'pact' with Mr.Gullible Kumble d)'ICC' said they would crackdown on racism....not in that order...but roughly that.

I have been watching cricket for quite some time now...from the time Gavaskar wanted to walk out with Chetan Sharma till date when CC is now the manager of the team...little has changed.

I think Aussies are cheats...all of them...without exception.

It is Chetan Chauhan and not Chetan Sharma...anger clouds my senses...for once it is not the loss that hurts but the fact that we were cheated and to top it now is an attempt to humiliate us - by giving the Primate the MOM award and handing a baseless ban to Banta Singh!

It has been a long time since the controversial test match between India and Australia but still the memories are fresh in my mind. I was very pained to watch that match as an Indian. The cheats won it but we later taught ICC a lesion by removing Buckner from the series, which has never happened in the history of cricket. In a dial in show on television, I had asked Sandeep Patil the same things that you mentioned in your article. My good friend Abhijit guided me to your blog. Please do not give up writing. Good luck…
